<p>I hope I’m not making you squirm too much but I’m utterly obsessed for you to understand how your bowel movements, frequency and consistency are absolutely key to understand what is going on in your body.</p>



<p>For me your bowel movements are giving me clues on your gut health status, your microbiome, your gut valves, possible food sensitivities, your stress load &amp; how efficient this vital detox pathway is doing!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Can you see why I love asking clients about their bowel movements!</strong></h2>



<p>As not only is this key to thrive, but imperative to preventing illness, as over 80% of your immune system is in your gut, and has a direct impact on your brain health too ( due to the gut-brain axis).</p>



<p>Imagine your number 2’s are like your trash. If you don’t put all the waste (food intake &amp; cellular waste) you accumulate in the bin (the toilet!), your house (body!) is going to be in a right pickle!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-pale-pink-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-02d8ee13167038f544955a2a43b24f82"><strong>To avoid a toxic overspill, you need to be pooing every day!</strong></h2>



<p><strong>Here is the golden Poo Standard:</strong></p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>You can poo up to 3x a day, as on average you have 3 meals a day. What goes in, must come out!</li>



<li>Your poo should be sausage like in shape and easy to pass</li>



<li>Look at this <a href="https://www.continence.org.au/bristol-stool-chart" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bristol stool chart</a> to check your poo-ometer, goal is number 4</li>



<li>Never, never strain, push hard to poo, if that’s you, read on…..</li>
</ul>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Now, here are TWO things you can start to do to nurture your POO &amp; GUT</strong></h2>



<p>1. Hydration: especially first thing, 1-2L in total through the day, more with sport</p>



<p>2. Increase your fiber intake, read on to learn how…</p>



<p><strong>The wonders of FIBER:</strong></p>



<p>I find most of my clients are under-fibre’d and not pooing enough!</p>



<p>And this is such a huge step to work on, as it will literally help your body rid itself of junk in your trunk, and that’s because….</p>



<p>???? Fiber is fundamental to digestive health, promoting regular bowel movements, toxin removal &amp; that helps our mood too.</p>



<p>????&nbsp;Fiber helps keep you feeling fuller (helping manage weight) &amp; balancing your blood sugars by slowing the absorption of sugar/glucose (fundamental in our metabolic health)</p>



<p>????&nbsp;FIBER is just HUGE in hormonal health!&nbsp;</p>



<p>As once those beautiful hormones have done their job, they must be excreted from our body! Otherwise they can contribute toward the toxic soup which is just ramping up inflammation.</p>



<p><strong>Here are some Fiber-Rich Foods to Include &amp; Add more of into Your Diet:</strong></p>



<p><em>&#8211; Nuts &amp; Seeds: Chia seeds &amp; flaxseeds (try soak in breakfast before eating), almonds, walnuts&nbsp;</em></p>



<p><em>&#8211; Vegetables: Broccoli, carrots, Brussels sprouts, and leafy greens &nbsp;</em></p>



<p><em>&#8211; Fruits: Apples, berries, pears, and bananas &nbsp;</em></p>



<p><em>&#8211; Legumes: Lentils, chickpeas, black beans, and other beans &nbsp;</em></p>



<p><em>&#8211; Whole Grains: Quinoa, brown rice, fonio</em></p>



<p><strong>A few tips for Increasing your Fiber Intake:</strong></p>



<p>&#8211; Start your day with a fiber-rich breakfast, try my nutty muesli!</p>



<p>&#8211; Snack on raw veggies or fruits instead of processed snacks. &nbsp;</p>



<p>&#8211; Gradually increase fiber in your diet to avoid digestive discomfort.</p>



<p><strong>????Quick Reminder:</strong> <strong>Please, please, please, don’t forget to drink plenty of water while increasing your fiber intake! Staying hydrated helps fiber do its job effectively and supports healthy digestion.</strong></p>



<p>So my lovelies I hope this has really made you connect with your bowel movements and how important they are to your toxic load, hormonal health &amp; ability to thrive.</p>

And if we ignore these symptoms with bandaids like pain killers, coffee or sugar as examples the symptoms only continue to stack up. This stacking up is like adding fuel to a fire, and to prevent disease in our life we have to put the fire (unchecked inflammation) out.</p>

<p>This is why I am so passionate about Kinesiology muscle testing as I review your health history in depth, and then I test specific natural supplements (on your body or via surrogate testing online) to ensure you only take exactly what your body needs to bring harmony and vitality to your health.</p>

<p>It must be made clear that I advocate that supplements are apart of implementing the foundations to health (which I will teach you!). Supplements are not a one stop fixer, and should be used to complement a healthier diet and lifestyle to make the most out of their potential to re-vitalise you. This is why you receive a thorough well-being plan from me after your session.</p>



<p>It is my goal for you to use supplements initially where the body needs the additional help to restore balance and then focus always on adding in the foods that will continue the healing journey you are on. </p>



<p>Every Rewild or Kinesiology session will include muscle testing supplements &amp; discussing the additional foods to add that will support you further. The cost of the supplements that are in your highest interest and priority to take will be an additional cost. Please note that I only use the highest quality, natural, bio-available nutrition which is available using my practitioner discount.</p>



<p>Please bring along existing supplements you are taking to test alongside.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Please also note that for any supplements recommended, you must consult with your GP regarding each supplement if you are taking prescribed medication.</p>

<p>Energy is the currency of health. In every session with me,  my focus is on raising your energy, or frequency. As simply put, if we do not have abundant energy, we cannot operate at our greatest potential and we loose our zest for life.</p>



<p>Our body makes energy (ATP) via the nutrition, hydration &amp; oxygen we consume but we also have pools and channels of energy around and through us. These are known as our chakras and meridian lines.</p>



<p>Chakras can be imagined as&nbsp;wheels of energy that are located in different areas of the body, they are like power stations in our body. Meridians are like energetic pathways in our body that allow energy (Qi) to flow. Illness, diet, our thoughts, stress &amp; environment can all have a negative impact on our chakras &amp; meridians causing blockages in our energy flow, leaving us feeling depleted.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Kinesiology is a wonderful way to reset your nervous system, spring clean your chakras and meridians to clear any blockages, and to allow your energy (Qi) or life force to flow. The Kinesiology tools I use to release energy blocks are tuning forks, five element balance, crystals and body stress release.</p>

<p>It is vital to release energy blocks to optimise our energy flow so our body can function at it&#8217;s optimal level. It is chronic stress that can cause a dysregulated nervous system and it is integral to release stress naturally in order to support long term health.</p>

Be it the current economic situation, strikes, or financial fears, the list of stress sources appears to be endless. You only have to watch the news or listen to the radio, and you might feel your anxiety levels rise! Now this is WHY I wanted to raise the subject. The fact of the matter is that …</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Our bodies were never designed to be in this constant state of stress</strong></h2>



<p>This is known as chronic stress. And it is chronic stress that can manifest as physical illness. Acute stress is different this is a peak period of stress eg. running to catch your bus. Take a look at the image below, do any of these chronic stress symptoms show in your life? Poor Digestion, Chronic fatigue, Muscle tension, Insomnia, High Blood Pressure, Headaches.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How do you know if you are in a state of chronic stress? </h2>



<p>This can feel like you are constantly on alert, or in fight or flight mode, and it is difficult to relax. Many people say it is like having a constant knot in your stomach. Your muscles are tense (especially your shoulders or neck) and this can all be a sign of being in a low grade or high grade of constant stress.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What is the difference between chronic and acute stress?</h2>



<p>Acute stress is a short term stress is actually a good thing (for example, to keep us safe, run away from that tiger ???? or hunt or deliver that presentation!) but we are designed to then shift into a rest phase, calm/zen, and this is when you should be digesting food!</p>



<p>If we don’t shift to this rest phase, and continue the stress alert, you are in a chronic stress state. Why is this so important to recognise and take action to avoid chronic stress. That is because it can deplete our energy, our immune system and you can hit  burnout or another way I see it…</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Your adrenals are waving a white flag, saying HELP!</strong> Adrenal Fatigue!</h2>



<p>This state of play has become so normal, I hate to admit it, but in my 20’s I actually equated being stressed all the time as productive, gulp! Adrenal fatigue is a serious issue when it comes to hitting perimenopause &amp; menopause as your adrenals take over the sex hormone production. So if your adrenals are not in a good place, your menopause experience is going to be challenging!</p>



<p>So what can you do to turn the tides on chronic stress, well if you know its about time to tackle, here are&#8230;.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>4 steps to help tackle your Chronic STRESS</strong></h2>



<p><strong>STEP 1</strong>. Start to recognise when you are getting stressed or in the state of stress ????….. if you don’t know when you can’t do something about it.</p>



<p><strong>STEP 2.</strong>&nbsp;Take a moment to&nbsp;<strong>BREATHE</strong>, deeply that is, and slowly through your nose…..this is a signal to your brain ???? to calm down</p>



<p><strong>STEP 3</strong>.&nbsp;<strong>Distract</strong>&nbsp;&#8211; even if for 5 mins, go for a quick walk, draw, close your eyes to switch off, do something to halt the stress from escalating</p>



<p>This will give you a little space for clarity, and help halt the spiral into what can feel like panic mode. Ultimately with a bit of space and clarity you can choose again, since you absolutely don’t wasn’t stress to impact your health!</p>



<p>And finally I&#8217;ll leave you with a great affirmation I like to tell clients if they are struggling with chronic stress. So as soon as you feel the stress building, say out aloud  or in your head “<strong>I DO NOT DO STRESS</strong>” repeat 10x, alongside 10 deep inhales and exhales.</p>

<p>Please don’t panic, inflammation is a natural part of healing, but what I am talking about is chronic inflammation, where your body is in a constant fight the fire mode.</p>

<h1 class="wp-block-heading" style="font-size:22px">1. Eat to nourish your GUT ???? ????</h1>



<p>A common root cause of cognitive decline is leaky gut, which is often the cause of leaky brain. In addition up to 70% of the Immune System lies in the gut, isn’t that amazing!</p>



<p>The best thing for your GUT, is to limit high sugar, processed man-made food &amp; fried food. Eat as naturally as possible.</p>

<p>Every cell in your body needs water to do it’s job. The same goes for your brain, it cannot be at it’s best if you are not drinking enough. So aim for up to 2L of water throughout the day.</p>



<h1 class="wp-block-heading" style="font-size:22px">3. Move ????????‍♀️</h1>



<p>We are designed to move. Being deskbound all day, is not good for our overall health. So try this..<br>Aim to move every 20 minutes. Set an alarm, grab some water or a herbal tea….<br>and try finish your day with a walk outside to de-compress.</p>



<h1 class="wp-block-heading" style="font-size:22px">4. Prioritise SLEEP ????</h1>



<p>Your body is literally cleaning itself when you sleep. Poor sleep due to late nights, or too much screen time can wreck our long term health.</p>



<p>Give your brain a chance to detox with prioritising sleep. The best way to do this is….</p>



<p>Carve out a relaxing screen free bedtime routine, and stick to a consistent bedtime.</p>
